Prescott Valley has 1 primary golf course, Stoneridge. The other golf courses listed are located in Dewey. Due to Dewey's proximity to Prescott Valley, historically Dewey was always (locally) considered part of Prescott Valley until one reached the Cherry Road cutoff (highway 169). Growing up here, we never really knew where Dewey began and Humboldt ended. We only knew that it was "on the way to Phoenix". Dewey was incorporated December 20, 2004 and has since defined itself as one of Prescott's quad-cities. Dewey came into noteriety during the month of October larger thanks to Young's Farm. A local family committed to bringing tourism to the area went to great lengths putting on events like the annual pumpkim festival, which ran the entire month into November. During this time, thousands of tourists from all over would come for live music, food, bar-b-que, and an opportunity to select a pumpkin directly off the vine. It was a historic highlight for Dewey. Sadly, Young's Farm is no more. Fortunately, Mortimer Farms (Landscaping) has taken over the family business. This is a welcome addition for Prescottonians who know and trust the Mortimer family. Why do we even mention all this? The farm is located at the juncture of Highway 69 and Highway 169. The Farm is also a draw for more than 100,000 people each year. All of this activity either contributes or takes away from the advantage of owning a home in Dewey, AZ.
The two golf courses in Dewey are the PCC (Prescott Country Club) and Quailwood Greens. Several communities exist just on the edge of Prescott Valley and Dewey having manufactured homes for sale. If you're looking to live in the same area, but want a community with amenities like a clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, volleyball courts, basketball courts, etc... try Quailwood for affordable sight-built homes. Just on the other side of Quailwood Greens golf club is Villages at Lynx Creek. This isn't a scary place to live like M Night Shyamalan's movie. The Villages at Lynx Creek is an adult manufactured home community sitting on the edge of the Quailwood Greens Golf Course.
A mid-range golf community with luxury appeal in Prescott Valley is Stoneridge. Set back in the foothills of the north Bradshaw Mountains, Stoneridge allows competitive course play with vacant land ownership options.
If you're looking for other luxury golf course properties, look to Talking Rock Ranch, Prescott Lakes, and Hassayampa Village. These are gated communities with the exception of Prescott Lakes. Although, Prescott Lakes does have sub-communities that are gated.
